The Sometextmissing was initially created by two high school students, Mohsin and Imran during Spring Break of 2009. At the launch of the site in june 2009, the project was initially activated at FUUAST (Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology www.fuuastisb.edu.pk in Islamabad where they attended.

  • In September 2009, sometextmissing partnered with casual game developer M.Irfan to bring Flash based games to the site. The games incorporate are used elsewhere on the site.
