This template should be used for pages that are semi-protected for longer periods (for brief semi-protection please use {{sprotected}}).
This template categorizes pages into Category:Semi-protected. For talk pages that are semi-protected, use Template:SprotectedTalk.
Adding this template to an article does not protect it. Protection can only be applied by administrators, and can be requested at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection.
