This template should be used for pages that are semi-protected for extremely long periods of time (e.g. Jesus). When initially semi-protecting an article, please use {{sprotected}}.
This template categorizes pages into Category:Semi-protected. For talk pages that are semi-protected, use Template:SprotectedTalk.
Adding this template to an article does not protect it. Protection can only be applied by administrators, and can be requested at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection.
