Usage

Parameters

This infobox takes a number of parameters:

name
the name of the case, which should preferably be the same as the article title.
court
the name of the court the case was heard in. You should [[wikilink]] to the article on the court.
image
an image to represent the court, such as a coat of arms. Type the name of the image without the "Image:" prefix and do not wikilink it. If you do not want an image to appear, type "No image.png".
full_name
the full name of the case, including terms like "& Anor" ("and Another") or "& Ors" ("and Others"), and expanding any other abbreviations.
date_decided
the date the decision was handed down.
citations
external links to reports of the case.
transcripts (optional)
external links to transcripts of the case, where available.
judges
list the judges sitting on the case, with the Chief Justice first (where applicable).
prior_actions
mention any prior trials or appeals, if the case is an appeal decision. You may also want to mention related cases in a sequence, e.g., Mabo (No. 1) and Mabo (No. 2). Use external links to citations if possible.
subsequent_actions
mention any later appeals or retrials, where applicable. You may also want to mention related cases in a sequence, e.g., Mabo (No. 1) and Mabo (No. 2). Use external links to citations if possible.
opinions
a very brief summary of some of the major findings in the case - many case reports will do this for you.
