Usage
- Use this redirect category (Rcat) template for any redirect that, in your opinion, may stand alone as an article on a notable subject. If you see a redirect with this template, and you are moved to write the article, then be BOLD!
- Apply this Rcat to a redirect in the following manner:
#REDIRECT [[(Target article)]] {{R with possibilities}}
- This is in accord with the instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.
- Template {{This is a redirect}} can also be used to add this Rcat and any others that may apply to the redirect.
- This Rcat automatically populates Category:Redirects with possibilities and, when in the Main article namespace, Category:Printworthy redirects. At some point in the future, Jimmy Wales wants to make a printed version of the full Wikipedia encyclopedia, and redirects from titles that might possibly become articles themselves someday are considered to be suitable for a printed version of this encyclopedia. In other words they are "printworthy".
- If the redirect is a template, then Category:Template redirects with possibilities alone will be populated.
- The following Rcats redirect here and can also be used:
Redirects
- Please note that common misspellings can also be useful redirects.
