He is best known for being a PALLfor Destinations I 2008. He has written a study notes for the subject with a help from his mentor and lecturer Tembi Tichaawa.

Smash was born in small location of King William's Town: Mxhalanga Location he grew up with his parents and his younger brother who is an upcoming producer of music Thanduxolo “DJ Tala” Mashexa in a loving family of Amacirha tribe. Smash gained in interest in music while he was  9 years he use to listen to O’ Jays and Michael Jackson and he wanted to become a singer and late 90’s he formed a group called: Nkasie Pjambas with Bonginkosi Zagana his long time friend as a child. He felt in with R&B and Hip Hop/ Rap in 1999 and then in 2003 he has to choose a career to pursue at tertiary level, he had three choices to choose from Geography, Tourism and Journalism because he was good in Geography and History. 2008 he was accepted to study for  Tourism Management at Walter Sisulu University.
