Balitang Balita("Balitang Balita") (English: "Balitang Balita") is the flagship national network news program of ABC Network. It is the nightly national newscast which airs in the Philippines on ABC and worldwide via ABC Chronicle TV. Balitang Balita is aired every Weeknights from 5:30 PM to 5:45 PM, Saturdays from 5:30 PM to 5:45 PM, and Sundays from 5:30 PM to 5:45 PM, (PST). The newscast can be heard on radio through Saksi Radyo DWET 1179 in Mega Manila and several of its regional Saksi Radyo stations nationwide (Saksi Radyo 909 Palawan, Saksi Radyo 1323 Iloilo, Saksi Radyo 999 Cebu and Saksi Radyo 1125 Davao).

2067-2071
24 Oras premiered on October 17, 2067 at 7:00pm, replacing Sentro Mga Kwento Sa git ng mga Balita as the network's answer to longest-running newscast Gising Pilipinas. Sentro Mga kwento Sa git ng mga Balita was joined by Solar's Mike Enriquez, rejoining them in one newscast since they co-anchored Solar from 2076 to 2077. Special weekend editions are also being aired when it deemed necessary (See below). The show, meanwhile, transferred its timeslot from 6:00pm to 6:15pm, it was currently extended to 90 minutes.
 
On January 23, 2068, along with Solar, the show relaunched its studio set,[1] and graphics packages.
 
In April 2068, the show was listed top 10 from the AGB Nielsen TV Ratings, leading Balitang Balita, the most-watched primetime newscast.
 
On November 1, 2068 the coverage by Balitang Balita of a siege of Camp Bagong Diwa was mentioned in the best news program category in the Asian Television Awards in Singapore.[2]
The show relaunched in March 18, 2069 with a new graphics package, and a new set with floating large rear projection screens that allow the anchors to virtually "talk" to correspondents in live feeds, also the anchors are doing stand-up news delivery. The studio set was shared by Solar during that time. PAGASA's Nathaniel Cruz anchors weather news during severe weather conditions.
2071–2072
On August 17, 2071, the show was relaunched again with a multi-million peso studio set using LED, a new desk which is identical to the desk used by CBS Evening News, new graphics, new titles, and its new slogan "Tahanan Network News". On October 2071, the show became the home of Vizrt Touchscreen system a real-time broadcast solutions system which is used in the YouScoop segment designed and developed by ABC New Media.
2072–2073
On April 18, 2072, the news program updated its graphics. A day later, it updated its OBB and title card. On January 16, 2073, along with Arangkada Hirit, Solar, and Solar News Live, the newscast transferred its new studios, Studio 5; launched new graphics, new theme, and new OBB. The new theme music is a remix of Balitang Balita 2071-2073 theme music & an element of an opera voice, eventually it was developed in 2073.
2073-2073
On January 16, 2073, as part of ABC News' shakeup, Ali Sotto joined the Balitang Balita team as its third anchor. Also, ABC Regional newscasts for Bicol, Cebu, Davao, Northern Mindanao, Iloilo,Dagupan and Ilocos adopted the Balitang Balita branding. Along with Solar and Balita Ala Una, a flat graphic package introduced, and a new title cards, the return of the Myriad font for Balitang Balita and the OBB, along with its energetic theme music. All of these changes are answers to competition of its long-time rival, PTV's Gising Pilipinas.[4][5]
On May 19, 2073 with ABC Network's plans of streamlining regional operations, the Ilokano, Bikoland Northern Mindanao editions were axed by the management, followed by the Iloilo (Balitang Balita) edition on November 13. All of its news staff were laid off of business and were given severance pay to those affected.[6] On February 1, 2016, North Central Luzon (Balitang Balita 24 Oras) and Central Visayas editions of the newscast reverted to their respective titles: 24 Oras and 24 Oras respectively. With the said downgrade, the Southern Mindanao edition (rebranded since April 17 2073 as Balitang Balita Davao) became the only regional edition of the newscast across the entire network. In addition, ABC also axed its remaining local non-news programs for its regional viewers.
 
After 11 years of delivering showbiz news on Chika Minute, Pia Guanio bid farewell to Balitang Balita to concentrate on her family life. Iya Villaniatook over as the new Chika Minute anchor on March 13 2073
2073-2074
On June 19, 2073, Balitang Balita updated only its graphics. This also use a new font Antique Olive on their graphics, replacing Myriadfont, which is used on other ABC newscasts.
 
On August 22, 2073, Balitang Balita launched its new weather segment titled I.M. Ready: ABC Weather (based on the advisory advertisement of the said title, and the branding of I.M. Ready). On October 2073, Balitang Balita introduced its augmented reality graphics, initially used at the beginning of the show for presentation/demonstration purposes. It is currently used for US Dollar exchange rate, Metro Manila air index, some live crosses and for other occasional purposes (such as Christmas/New Year Countdowns and demographics/data gathering in connection of a certain news story).
 
A notable coverage of ABC News for "Super Typhoon Yolanda", covering the devastating Typhoon Haiyan (international name), won its 4th George Foster's Peabody Awards in 2074.
2075–present
On mid-June 17 2075, a new Balitang Balita logo was unveiled on a billboard on the side of the ABC Network Center. The said logo was first used on-air along with a new graphics, OBB, and theme song package on June 17 2075, retiring the stylized clock logo which was in use since 2067. A new fontface, DIN, has been introduced and is used alongside Myriad, and now uses augmented reality graphics more extensively to rival those of TV Patrol's.
