- optional: country add ie for Ireland if an Irish judgment, uk for general UK judgment (eg House of Lords) and so on. Can add ew for England and Wales, although it defaults to this latter option. URLs are case sensitive so the country code is always converted into lower case by the template.
- litigants is the list of litigants, such as Miranda v. Arizona.
- court is the code used by BAILII in the Neutral Citation Number to identify the court. eg EWCA for the Court of Appeal of England and Wales. URLs are case sensitive so the court code is always converted into upper case by the template.
- optional: division is the code used by BAILII in the Neutral Citation Number to identify the division. eg Civ for the Civil division. Not all cases cite a division - eg House of Lords decisions and some Irish decisions.
- year is the year of the decision, as indicated in the Neutral Citation Number.
- num is the judgment number, as indicated in the Neutral Citation Number.
- optional: para is a specific paragraph number.
- optional: date is the date in which the court rendered its decision. If inclded, the date is added at the end of the citation number. Use the yyyy-mm-dd format and do NOT include [[ and ]] around the date.
- The output of the template is of the form: Litigants [year] court num (division), paragraph para
- The names of the litigants is rendered as a link to the judgment on BAILII
- The BAILII urls are of the form: http://www.bailii.org/country/cases/court/division/year/num.html#parapara
