Shilpa Orphanage, Sri Lanka; 100 tsunami orphans are being fostered in homes in their communities rather than being institutionalized. Shilpa follows each child with social workers, collaborating with the government office responsible for the orphans. Sponsorship commitment until child graduates from high school is $450 per year/$4500 for ten years. Sri Lanka and Aceh microenterprise projects. Indonesian Handicapped Association/LPPI-partnering with this dynamic group of wheelchair atheletes who build wheelchairs on site in Aceh for newly handicapped tsunami victims; providing comfort and psychological support.
