Parameters

All parameters are optional unless otherwise specified.

Parameter	Description
Case name
litigants	The litigants (the case name), like this: "Council of Civil Service Unions v. Minister for the Civil Service".
link	The name of a Wikipedia article about the case, for example: "Council of Civil Service Unions v Minister for the Civil Service".
BAILII link: http://www.bailii.org/country/cases/court/division/year/num.html#parapara
country	Mandatory: The code used by BAILII indicating the jurisdiction or "country" of the case, as follows: ie: Republic of Ireland nie: Northern Ireland scot: Scotland uk: certain courts of the United Kingdom, namely, the House of Lords, Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, Supreme Court of the United Kingdom Omit this parameter for cases from the courts of England and Wales.
court	Mandatory: The neutral citation code used by BAILII to identify the court that decided the case, as follows: EWCA: Court of Appeal of England and Wales EWCC: County Court of England and Wales EWHC: High Court of Justice (High Court of England and Wales) EWMC: Magistrates' Court of England and Wales EWPCC: Patents County Court of England and Wales IECCA: Court of Criminal Appeal of Ireland IEHC: High Court of Ireland IESC: Supreme Court of Ireland NICA: Court of Appeal in Northern Ireland NICC: Crown Court in Northern Ireland NIHC: High Court of Justice in Northern Ireland UKHL: House of Lords ScotCS: Scottish Court of Session ScotHC: Scottish High Court of Justiciary ScotSC: Scottish Sheriff Court UKPC: Judicial Committee of the Privy Council UKSC: Supreme Court of the United Kingdom
division	Mandatory in some cases: For some cases, you will need to enter a code used by BAILII to identify the division of the court that decided the case.
year	Mandatory: the year of the decision.
num	Mandatory: the case number.
para	A paragraph number of the case that you wish to cite.
Other information
date	The date that the case was decided. You may enter the date in any format accepted by the template {{date}}, such as "22 November 1983" or "1983-11-22". It will appear a day-month-year format.
parallelcite	Parallel citations to the case. Separate the citations with commas, like this: "[1985] A.C. 374, [1984] 3 All E.R. 935".
courtname	The court that decided the case. The name of the court can be wikilinked, like this: "[[Judicial functions of the House of Lords|House of Lords]]".
juris	The jurisdiction that decided the case, such as "England and Wales" or "Scotland".
