Feral
Feral has two definitions, with the first being used more among the furry community and the second having a widespread usage.
Among furries, feral is another term for quadruped – animals walking on all four legs, while anthropomorphic or the common abbreviation ‘anthro’ will refer to bipeds. Although many zoos love to look at art of both feral and even anthro creatures, many furries are opposed to feral artwork if it is of a suggestive or sexual nature (NSFW).
The other usage of the word feral is in reference to domesticated animals (dogs, cats, horses, etcetera) which no longer live under the guardianship of human beings and have reverted into a wild or semi-wild state. They are no longer fed by people but often scrounge human refuse for food and may learn to hunt for themselves, although not all will gain this skill and it seems to come much more easily to cats than dogs.
