You should definitely use a water-based lubricating cream, possibly with a bacteriostat. Any other petroleum-based (e.g. Vaseline) or oils and fats can cause serious damage to the animal's genitals through infections! There is also the risk that the skin of the genitals, which is more sensitive in many animals than in humans, is injured by such oils and fats. KY -Jelly from Johnson and Johnson or Astroglide (available in every better sex shop) has proven to be very effective.

You can also take Gelamin-Sol, a lubricating cream that is also used in horse breeding. Gelamin-Sol is not spermicidal, so it is not suitable as a support for contraceptives. From veterinary medicine, Bovivet or VetGel are also recommended. These gels are skin-friendly, also water-based, and even quite cheap.

Since dogs often lick themselves clean after intercourse, any type of oil and fat can cause not only skin irritation but also gastrointestinal problems. For this reason, it is advisable to completely avoid oils.

In a mare "only" the outer vaginal area is affected, but it can never be guaranteed that some oil does not penetrate into the inner area. If, however, foreplay of this kind goes ahead sufficiently, then lubricants are no longer absolutely necessary, since this greatly increases the production of vaginal secretions, which takes over the lubrication, and thus makes them lubricious enough.

However, lubricants are a must for anal intercourse with an animal penis to be carefree. Especially if you want to record a horse penis.

Caution: Water-based lubricants can become bad and then smell sulfurous. Under no circumstances should they then be used again. Pregnant animals also have an increased risk of infection.

General Guidelines

  • ✅ Astroglide
  • ✅ Nonscented nonflavored nonwarming KY
  • ✅ Sugrilube
  • ✅ JLube
  • ✅ Gelamin-Sol

DO NOT USE THESE

  • 🛑 Oils
  • 🛑 Greases
  • 🛑 Petroleum Based such as Vaseline
  • 🛑 Spit (May cause infection and isn't a good lubricant)
  • 🛑 Any Non-Water based lube.
  • 🛑 In regards to condoms. Never use any type of "Enhancer" type condoms, or scented condoms.
