Steve “El Suavecito” Gonzalez (born May 15, 1984) is a retired American boxer of Mexican descent, born in Inglewood, California. He’s rated at 80/231 in the United States and 429/1379 worldwide.
Gonzales has defeated 8 Boxers and KO 5 of them, with what could only be thought of as lightening precision and determination.
Professional career
Light Welterweight
On 7 July 2007, Gonzalez fought Jose Luis Vega and won via KO in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.
On 1 September 2007, he fought Carlos Urrea and won again via KO in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico.
On 8 September 2007, he fought Eduardo Urrea and won again via TKO in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico.
On 14 September 2007, he fought Cristian Chavez and won via SD in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.
On 28 September 2007, he fought Cesar Garcia and won via SD in Montebello, California.
On 11 October 2007, he fought Jaime Orrantia and won via another UD in Tucson, Arizona.
On 1 December 2007, he fought Ernesto Rivera and won via another KO in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.
On 10 April 2010, he fought Jamie Del Cid and won with his final KO in Tucson, Arizona.
Retirement
Gonzalez announced his retirement in June of 2010.
Life outside the ring
Gonzalez left the world of boxing to pursue his life long dream of becoming a Police Officer for the LAPD. And is currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada while attending classes to receive his degree in Criminal Justice.
