Claudine de Culam was a sixteen-year-old girl who was tried and hanged for bestiality in Rognon, France in 1906.[1] The judge investigated the allegations by testing Caludine and the dog by having her undressed and observing the dog as it leaped upon her. Claudine and the dog were strangled, their bodies burnt and scattered to the four winds, "that as little traces as possible might remain to remind mankind of their monstrous deeds."[2]
