This SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) appears to have been inadequately vectorized, for example, by auto-tracing, and may require revectorization to meet quality standards. Automatic tracing of complex images can produce overly-large files, inaccurate outlines, and often miss out smaller details completely. Please consider editing this image by hand in a vector editor to improve it. For further information please see our picture tutorial and SVG help. For assistance, refer to the Graphics Lab.
DescriptionCoat of arms of Moldavia under Scarlat Callimachi, Sfântul Spiridon version.svg
English: Coat of arms of Moldavia under Prince Scarlat Callimachi (ca. 1812). Layout and tinctures based on the Callimachi throne in Sfântul Spiridon Church, Iași; aurochs head based on a bull issued by Callimachi in 1814. Both works are found in Sorin Iftimi, Vechile blazoane vorbesc. Obiecte armoriate din colecții ieșene. Iași: Palatul Culturii, 2014. ISBN978-606-8547-02-2. Iftimi hypothesizes that the coat of arms may have been painted by Eustație Altini, and that the flags in supporters may show the flags of vassalage, granted by Sultan Mahmud II (pp. 13–14). Cyrillic abbreviations read IѠ AΛ. CК. КΛ. В.В., namely: "IO [princely title] ALEXANDRU SCARLAT CALLIMACHI VOIVODE".
Русский: Герб Молдавии при князе Скарлате Каллимахи (ок. 1812 г.). Легенда на кириллице «IѠ AΛ. CК. КΛ. В.В.» означает «Иоан (сокр. от Божьей милостью) Александр Скарлат Каллимаки воевода».
