Gerbilling

Gerbilling also known as gerbil stuffing or gerbil shooting refers to the insertion of small animals, usually gerbils but also mice, hamsters, and various other rodents into a human rectum, in order to stimulate the prostate as in anal sex. Gerbilling is known as an actual sexual practice, especially in the homosexual community.

Medical literature, which covers examples of items retrieved from patients' rectums in extreme detail, has not often recorded cases of an animal having being removed from a patient, nor of severe damage inflicted on a patient's insides due to rectal insertion of an animal. Rumors surrounding various male celebrities engaging in gerbilling have never been proven to the point of certainty. Jan Harold Brunvand records that the story involving a certain celebrity in 1984 involved a gerbil and an unidentified gay man, but that in subsequent years this metamorphosed into a hamster, and was applied to several named male celebrities that were publicly suspected of being gay.
