Usage
This rcat template is usually used on template pages; however, it can be used in any namespace.
- This redirect category (rcat) template populates Category:Redirects to redirect templates when placed on a template page. If placed on a page in any other namespace, then it will populate Category:Redirects to template from non-template namespace, instead. Also, if it is placed on a mainspace page, then it will populate Category:Unprintworthy redirects. At some point in the future, Jimmy Wales wants to make a printed version of the full Wikipedia encyclopedia. Redirects in main-article namespace that target pages in other namespaces are not suitable for a printed version. In other words such redirects are unprintworthy.
- Add this rcat to a redirect page in the following manner:
#REDIRECT [[(target page name)]]

- This is in accord with instructions found at WP:REDCAT.
- {{This is a redirect}} may also be used to add this and up to seven appropriate rcats to a redirect.
- Use this rcat on all redirects to "redirect category templates" (rcats).
